Guitar Instructors

Bryan Jasper

Bryan has his BM from UBC and demonstrates a high degree of competence in various guitar methods and styles. He is committed to his students and has added greatly to the quality of music instruction we provide.

Rob Herrett

Rob studied at Vancouver Community College in the Jazz and Commercial Music program. He went on to teach guitar at Guidone's Music Studios in 1984 and Toews Music School from 1985 to 1989. At this time he also taught guitar at Columbia Bible College and Summit Pacific College. From 1989 – 1991 Rob studied theology at Providence College and received a B. A. in Biblical Studies. He then resumed teaching at Toews Music School and the Central Valley Academy of Music. Rob is part of the adjunct music faculty of Summit Pacific College in Abbotsford and is an active musician in his home church and has also been active in the coffee house/restaurant scene in Abbotsford in both and ensemble and solo capacity. Rob also teaches the mandolin.

Shane Bancroft

Shane is the newest instructor in our Guitar Department. He has studied guitar for … years and has taught at CVAM for the last three years. He is an active member of a family band which plays concerts throughout the Fraser Valley.
